Aware of Century 21, but hasn't shopped
“I like telling people about the deals I find. There’s a kinship between girls who are savvy shoppers.”

HER STYLE
I like to get versatile items that I can dress up or down.
I like to dress comfy, but still look feminine and cute.
I stick with brands that have quality, long lasting items (e.g., Tom’s, Crocs, Lula Roe).
I don’t really seek out trends, but I may imitate what I see others wearing in my own creative way.

ABOUT SHOPPING
Shopping is therapeutic but can also be stressful, since I’m on a budget.
I like shopping at places where I can get a good bargain – Marshalls, H&M, Beacon’s Closet.
Brand isn’t really important to me, but it’s cool if I get a great deal on a brand name item.
I want to reduce my footprint, and I like brands that try to do the same (e.g., H&M recycle program, Patagonia).
Being greeted with a smile goes a long way. I don’t need incessant checking, but be available if I need another size.
If employees look engaged, I might ask for their opinion in the dressing room.

C21: NOT ON MY RADAR
I feel like I’ve been there maybe once or twice. It’s such a mainstay of New York. It’s one of those ones that I have not explored very much though; it's just not on my radar.
ABOUT C21
It’s an NYC staple and like a Marshalls where you can get brand names for less.
I’m used to clearance racks being disorganized and having items with issues (e.g., rips, stains). It’s here because something’s wrong with it or no one wanted it from last season.
The clothes were affordable and cute. I’d return if I was shopping for a date or an audition. I got 3 items for $40!

C21 WISHLIST
I’d prefer to see things organized by category, so I can shop for an occasion.
I make a lot of small alterations to my clothes. It’d be great if they could help me do that here.
The salesperson at the fitting room didn’t acknowledge me and was talking to her co-worker. I want to feel welcomed.
It’d be cool if there was a stylist who wasn't salesy, but was genuinely interested in giving me personalized advice.
A prominent display by the registers about the credit card is enough. They don’t need to push it on people.
I’ll only sign up for the loyalty program/email list if I’m getting immediate savings. No cc please.

ME, ON TAPE.
